Martin's story

Martin is a child development officer, and is one of a very small percentage of men working in Scotland’s nurseries. Here, he explains why he decided to change career and move into the early years sector. He also explains why it is important to encourage more men into childcare.

Avril's story

Avril is a child development officer team leader, who has been working in childcare for 15 years. She has held various roles in the childcare sector, explains how she moved into these, and what other career progression there is in the sector.
