5 Mandatory Units

Achieve effective working relationships with colleagues in bus/coach engineering and maintenance (SCQF level 5, SCQF credit 5)

Carry out scheduled electrical maintenance on buses/coaches (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 5)

Diagnose electrical faults in bus/coach systems and components (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 5)

Repair Electrical fualts in bus/coach systems and components (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 6)

3 Optional Units

Conduct inspection of buses/coaches (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 6)

Carry out scheduled mechanical maintenance on buses/coaches (SCQF level 4, SCQF credit 3)

Carry out scheduled body maintenance on buses/coaches (SCQF level 5, SCQF credit 3)

Diagnose mechanical fualts in bus/coach systems and components (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 5)

Assess body damage to buses/coaches (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 4)

Repair mechanical faults in bus/coach systems and components (SCQF level 5, SCQF credit 4)

Reapir damage to bus/coach body components (SCQF level 5, SCQF credit 4)

Set out and assemble bus/coach body components (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 6)

Evaluate and develop your own knowledge, understanding and skills in the bus/coach engineering and maintenance  environment (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 3)

Recondition mechanical components in buses/coaches (SCQF level 5, SCQF credit 4)

Recondition electrical components in buses/coaches (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 6)

Install ancillary systems and components in buses/coaches (SCQF level 5, SCQF credit 4)

Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults in ancillary systems and compoents in buses/coaches (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 6)

Repair mechanical fualts in bus/coach systems and components (SCQF level 5, SCQF credit 4)

Establish customer technical requirements for buses/coaches (SCQF level 6, SCQF credit 4)
